Miles Walker engineered on Album of the Year nominee Beyonce – I am Sasha Fierce.
Miles also worked on Best Contemporary R&B nominee Trey Songz Ready and Best Remixed Recording ‘I Want You (Dave Aude Remix),’ by Dean Coleman Featuring DCLA.
Sam Thomas mixed India Arie’s project, Love and Testimony, Vol. 2, which was nominated for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Performance (for Chocolate High) and Best Urban Alternative Performance (for Pearls). Sam also engineered on Trey Songz’ Best Contemporary R&B nominated album Ready.
Mark ‘Exit’ Goodchild and Carlton Lynn both engineered on One Love by David Guetta, nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
Graham Marsh engineered on Best Rap Album nominee Universal Mind Control from Common.
Ben Allen engineered the new Animal Collective EP, Be Kind Fall. In addition to AC, Ben’s also been busy mixing the Trouble Andrew record and writing with Epic artist Lenka. Exciting news is Ben’s project The Constellations has been signed to Virgin Records. Look for the album, Southern Gothic, in stores and online early next year.
Mac Attkisson has been working on a number of high profile projects with producer Bangladesh, including Missy Elliott, Usher, Jamie Foxx, Jay Z, Gucci Mane, Jazmine Sullivan, Alicia Keys and Plies. Mac also mixed Gucci Mane’s “Stupid Wild” for his new album.
Miles Walker mixed “Lemonade” for Gucci Mane’s project The State vs. Radrick Davis. In addition, Miles has been engineering on new projects from Usher, Jamie Foxx, Puff Daddy, Ciara and Mary J. Blige.
Mark Exit Goodchild recently mixed “Oh Africa” for Pepsi’s World Cup advertising campaign in 2010. The song features Akon and Keri Hilson. Exit also has been working with Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls), Mary J. Blige and No Doubt in addition to Akon’s new record and other Akon related projects.
Sam Thomas also worked extensively on “Oh Africa”, recording in Atlanta and Los Angeles, including a choir assembled from contest winners from around the world.
Sam has also been busy mixing for NKOTB and working on various projects with Bryan Michael Cox, including Jordan Knight and Jagged Edge.
Mike Hartnett worked on a couple of songs for the new Timbaland record Shock Value 2, adding his considerable talents to both the first single, “Ease Off the Liquor” and “Carry Out” featuring Justin Timberlake. Mike is also writing for various projects, including the new Rehab record and doing session work with Polow Da Don.
Karl Heilbron is still working on finishing up Young Jeezy’s record, working with producers Khaled, Shorty Redd, Justice League and Midnight Black and recording features from Boosie, Baby and Bun B. Karl also recorded Jeezy’s vocals for Rihanna’s single “Hard”.
Carlton Lynn has worked extensively with India Arie, including projects with Santana and Michael Franti, and also engineered sessions with AR Rahmann, Whitney Houston, Akon, Novel, Cristyle and Dr. Luke.
Graham Marsh is engineering and helping with production on Cee Lo’s project. Graham has worked with Goodie Mob and Ciara and producers Teddybears, Bridgetown and Bangladesh. Recently Graham’s been busy remixing with Nashville producer Chuck Howard and writing with Michael Tolcher.
Vernon Mungo’s been in the studio putting the finishing touches on Usher’s Raymond v. Raymond. Lyfe Jennings, Sweet Rush and Bryan Michael Cox have also recently benefited from Vernon’s studio skill set.
Rob Skipworth got into the Christmas spirit a little earlier than usual this year working with Disturbing Tha Peace artist Rudy Currence on his new Last Christmas EP. Rob has also been busy recently with producers J Lack and B. Cox and artists Usher and Jordan Knight.
Tony Reyes’ composition “Mother Earth” was recently chosen as the theme song for the greenspace initiative “Pack the Park”. Jan Smith produced and local music luminaries such as Chuck Leavell and Ed Roland added their talents to the recording. Tony is also producing for Japanese pop artist Akina Nakamori, writing for Ne-Yo, playing guitar and bass on new music for Dallas Austin, Kris Allen and new EMI artist Sky Ferriera. During his Christmas break, Tony’s going to write with Denise Rich (Celine Dion, Patti Labelle).
