Carlton Lynn – Mix Engineer
Engineer Carlton Lynn has been working with Atlanta’s upper echelon artists, producers, writers and musicians for the last decade. Carlton’s recording and mixing abilities along with his personality and work ethic allowed him to quickly build a notable client base. This made it possible for him to work on big records early in his career, including TLC’s Fanmail while working with hit producer Dallas Austin. Carlton received a Grammy along with the group for Best R&B Album in 2000.
His ‘high end’ producer list includes Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri, Diddy, Dr. Dre, Sean Garrett and Novel, and notable artists like Leona Lewis, Usher, Pink, TLC, Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Asher Roth, Lloyd, Bow Wow, Collective Soul and Aretha Franklin. Carlton is the guy you want as an engineer in the studio with you. Other than Broadway Show Tunes and Opera, Carlton records and mixes the hell out of Pop, R&B/Soul, Rock and Hip Hop Records!
In addition to building his own facility and mix room in Atlanta, Soapbox Midtown, Carlton has been recording and mixing for J Records’ Leona Lewis, mixing for Rowdy artist/producer Novel, and recording Ciara’s new project. Lynn has also mixed most of Lloyd’s past two albums, including the number one smash, “You” from Streetlove. Not only are they making great records at Soapbox Midtown, they’ve also got some delicious chocolate chip cookies!
